“Thank you very much indeed for the ToughPrint waterproof paper which you provided the Commanding Officer with after his recent visit to GDUK Oakdale. As Regimental Signals Officer, I have a vested interest in how this paper would perform in the field, and am pleased to report back my findings. I tasked my Platoon to take several sheets of printed ToughPrint paper and ‘rigorously’ test them in a number of different environments, indeed very similar to those which you carried out ‘on’ your testing. The results were outstanding. The text/mapping that we had printed onto the paper from a regular laser printer did not smudge, run or fade. When testing the durability of the paper, it also proved extremely robust, needing two strong individuals to be able to physically rip it apart. As far as ‘squaddy proof’ equipment goes, this is about the best I have ever seen and I am thoroughly content that having access to this paper whilst on frontline operations would be hugely beneficial.”

I worked with Karl on a Ministry of Defence (MoD) project related to medical systems. Karl, as the expert in MoD’s deployed environment, bought to the project a significant level of expertise in this area and was able to communicate very complex subjects to colleagues with less knowledge and experience of MoD’s operations and IT infrastructure. Karl also fulfilled the role of Enterprise Architect to ensure all the key elements, in accordance to TOGAF, were planned and tailored for the programme.
